Okay, so our first assignment is to set up a concept map on our topic. I THINK that means the history of Kalamazoo? But we would gear it more toward using Kalamazoo and make sure that it can be modified for any city depending on the classroom...correct me if I'm wrong!
If we want to go ahead and use some of the examples from the Kalamazoo Valley Museum then these are the main topics that they have: 1. The Things We Created (to earn a living)
2. The Places We Built (to make a community)
3. The Dreams We Shared (to build the future)
Ofcourse, we don't have to use these but they are some good starting out points I think. I have done a concept map in one of my other classes but I'll be honest, the grade I got wasn't amazing so maybe someone else should actually make it - but we can all discuss what should go on it together. So write back when you can!
Yes I believe your right with the concept that we are doing a project that can be modified for any city but for this I am guessing we are doing the city where we attend school, therefore Kalamazoo! Also I agree with your idea of "Things We Created," both are great things we can research and find a lot of information on. (Is three enough I am not sure if our professor has a certain amount of topics we must hit.) Finally, I thought I would get back to you write away but for the concept map I have never done one before but I can most certainly look it up and see what it is all about, and maybe start it. I'll try my best since you got the head start on the blog! Thank you! I will get back to you about the concept map.
